Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!! Even the long weekends go by too fast. We had some seriously gorgeous weather here and it almost felt like Fall! I was so happy to wear this adorable plaid button back shirt. I love the extra detail in this shirt and the fact that it’s longer in the back! It is so perfect to wear this Fall.

Here are my favorite shoes again! I cannot stop wearing them. Really, they are unbelievably comfortable! The block heel is a Fall trend that I talked about in this post. You can find the shoes here.
Seriously look at the back of this plaid shirt.. Isn’t it just the cutest ever?! I’m in love with it!
So just like that Summer is (unofficially) over! Today is the first day of school for Long Island and I know many of you have been asking if I plan to return to school. The answer to that is yes but not right now..
I’ve extended my leave another Semester. The entire time I was pregnant and Chloe was due in January, I knew I would take off the rest of the school year. I always planned to return in September, until it was July and things got REAL! Reality kicked in that I would be leaving Chloe and we had to find someone to watch her 5 days a week. I’m going to be honest and say I totally freaked out!! Long story short, my husband and I talked and decided I could extend my leave until January.
So as of now that is my plan! I know it’s hard for all moms to go back to work but I honestly don’t know how I’ll do it! I could go on and on about this but I will spare you! For now I’m looking forward to my first Fall in 10 years that I will be home!
Have a great day everyone!! Thank you so much for stopping by!
xo, Jenn

Yay, that is so great you were able to extend your leave! I had my son in Dec, just a few weeks before you had Chloe and had to come back to work in April – it was rough! You will never regret taking more time with her, that is awesome. I am actually making a career transition from the buying office at Nordstrom to the Public School District in order to have more time with my son so I get it! Love reading your posts and seeing all your looks – I have gotten so many outfit ideas from you 🙂
Awwwwww Thank you!!!! That’s when I was supposed to go back to work also! UGHHHH so hard. Good for you I hope you have more time with your son enjoy every second!!!!! xoxoxo
Loved this post! That top is adorable! It will be such a blessing to get to stay home longer with your little!
Thank you so much!!! That means a lot to me! xoxoxo
So happy for you! Your bond with Chloe is only going to get stronger with you home together…This is my second year on leave, and I wouldn’t change a thing! I give working moms so much credit, I could never leave my boy! Not sure how LI works, but in the NYCDOE you can take up to 5 years of leave per child, with a guaranteed position when you return. I hope you have the same or similar option!! Enjoy your extended time together ?
Awwwwwwww Thank you so much!!!!!! I’m not sure how long it might only be 2 years on Long Island but I will take what I can get. I’m cherishing every minute home with her but it’s going so fast hehehe!
Hi Jenn,
This outfit is sooo cute!! ? I need that plaid, for sure. Lol. I cant say I’m surprised you extended your leave. Now you have, even more time to spend with Chloe ❤
Thank you so much!!!!! I know I needed more time with her! xoxoxo
